Thanks for the review HH! Just a question, is there any reason in particular why the TitanX Pascal wasn't included in the comparison charts?

Nice card except for that backplate. ..it would just have to come off for a plain black or gunmetal grey paint spray before I'd let it go in my system.

In this round we take a peek at that MASSIVE 1080 from ZOTAC, check out that all custom cooled and tweaked higher ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme Edition. Let's check out the new 8 GB beast with ...
Hi Hilbert im just wondered for which reason the result achieved by other custom 1080 crads guru3d has been reviewed in past is not included in this review and only compared to reference cards? more interestly why this is not true about other custom 1080s? im curiously waiting four your response. best regards.

JustinBulty - > Updated data-sets with another driver made new benchmarks and the older results slightly invalidated. Also I might be stepping away from the cross-brand benchmarks. The outcome looks very cluttered/busy in the charts. This looks much clearer and cleaner. Still playing with that btw as I know you guys like to compare apples and oranges and then apples again 🙂. fantaskarsef -> as written on the first benchmark page, this product was actually tested before Titan X was tested - here again, it's a different data-set. Basically due to the incredible amount of GPU reviews the benchmarks for this product had been done, yet I decided to push back this review in favor of the 460 / 470 / Titan X reviews. This is the result of a 2 week time-lapse lol. From here onward all reviews will have RX460/470 included as well as the entire Pascal range based on the newer drivers and a separated Vulkan data-set with ASYNC compute results.

thank you Hilbert for another great review:), man this is one big card, and thanks for the other gurus for there questions, same ones i wanted to ask while reading through the article 🤓, great minds think alike :infinity: and thank you for replying so fast AS ALWAYS. i trully could not wait to get to the overclocking thinking..man with such HUGE cooler this card is going to rock, but then again thanks to Nvidia limiters :3eyes: ALL AIBs are performing almost identically. guess Hilberts concluding sum it all. 🙂

Great review again card looks ok but i don't like the color of the backplate but in a closed case it doesn't matter. The performance of that card is just awesome also its cooling power! Great product from Zotac.

Thank you HH! 🙂

Why the results of asus strix 1080, gigabyte G1, msi gaming x etc are missing in the comparison chart? It's like you guys are trying to advertise this one xD

Already answered a few posts above. Also the resutls are not like they are hidden. You can easily open another tab and compare the cards. And it would be a better advertisement for this product if HH did include other cards, since this is mostly faster than the others.

Already answered a few posts above. See below quote. Also the resutls are not like they are hidden. You can easily open another tab and compare the cards. Each review obviously is for that specific product, so it will be about that in general. I do get why many want to included other AIB brand cards tho. I do too but I just open another tab and compare them.
Well, I see but they are not consistent. They didn't do that with the gigabyte g1

Thanks for the complete review. I own this card and my OC results are pretty much the same. It is a shame that all AIB cards with powerfull PCB/power delivery are getting similar OC to reference cards. Can a modded BIOS change that? And I'm dealing with a problem right now: SPECTRA ("Z-ELVES" in the review's Firestorm version) is greyed out and I can't turn off the LEDs.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up, didn't think about such timely differences, and also what makes sense, crowded graphs 😉

That makes me a little sad. I liked being able to pull up the latest review knowing I didn't need to pull up previously reviewed cards. Multiple tabs it is 🙂.

I might include a competitive chart in the future e.g. a 3DMark GPU score for the competing models. That way they rank and are less effected by driver updated etc.

you should review KFA2 1080 HOF
data/avatar/default/avatar16.webp
yep Problem with this 1080 pascal is its not what people think it is and the reason it does so poorly in dx12 and vulkan is becasue its just maxwell and people are paying volta prices. Its just a stepping stone for their 16 finfet process this should of been volta https://postimg.org/image/40mw9ublh/

A bit tricky to compare this to the previous 1080 reviews - the Palit review had the previous 1080 cards tested also in the tables, would be nice if those also were in here since most looking at this card likely want to compare it also to all those other high clocked 1080's - and not only to other cards 🙂 - keep up those lovely reviews 🙂

Thanks Hilbert for the great review. Can you please post what GTA V settings you use? I mean detailed settings? No. 2 my suggestion is to compare only graphics scores when you put results for 3DMark, will be easier to put cards head to head without confounding factors like cpu and combined scores. Thanks

Hi FranciscoCL, Actually, the "Z-Elves" version of FireStorm is incorrect. If you download the most up-to-date one here you should have access to the LED controls - zotac[dot]com/download/mediadrivers/cards/FireStorm_V2.0.0.006E.zip Sincerely, ZOTAC

Thanks for the reply. I'm using that version. SPECTRA is greyed out: https://s10.postimg.org/un1ioyoed/2016_08_11_19_34_23_Review_ZOTAC_Ge_Force_GTX_10.jpg (I run the exe as administrator)
