Sad....they may not have been the best, but they were something unique. There's still a CNPS 9900 max keeping my Sandy nicely cool.

Just remembered, when i had an old AMD Athlon CPU, i had one of their Flower coolers on it.

Well before CPU tower HSF's became the norm Zalmans were always at the top of pretty much any cooling charts in performance and esthetics but they never seemed to make a decent CPU cooler afterwards to keep up.
Sad to see another "old school" manufacturer out of business regardless..

Sad day they made good cpu hsf coolers. I been using there kits in all my builds.
Guess i will be switching to noctua coolers for my cpu in next build

They produced some good hybrid air/water cooling cases a good few years ago. They were overpriced but looked nice and did a decent job for the time.

I didn't care for the products to be honest, but still. Abit and BFG was a huge blow to the industry.

I used to have a VF 900 Cu on my 8800 GT. It was an excellent cooler: quiet and high-performance.

Shame because i think their products pushed the line to new levels and carried the 3rd party Cooler industry forwards into what we see today, a huge array of companies now to choose from.
I think the CNPS 10 Extreme was the pioneer. The jewel in the crown of HSF's.
It held up top spot for so long and even first iterations of water coolers couldn't knock it off top spot.
I really like their stuff. I found it to be very well made and fair priced.
It'd be a shame if they had to shut shop over this.

Zalman weren't the greatest coolers, but were super quiet. Had to retire mine after I got a quad.

I remember having the XFX GTX 8800 XXX edition in SLI at the time, best cards I had. 🙂

XFX is just not producing anything for Nvidia but they are still in business. They are AIB for AMD gpus now.

To be frank their products were subpar considering the premium price. Had a CNPS9700 NT, decent cooling but the fan cracked after a short time.
And never got the idea of naming the company Zalman...I always thought these guys were Israelis or Jewish until I found out its a Korean company. Guess its the same stunt AliBaba.com is doing.
