If you can do that, I envy you 🙂 Stupid Battlefield franchise went EA, as in, went downhill... and with origin there, it just spead up.

I only have Origin because Battlefield needs it... : / It's not really something I consider to be a desirably platform for buying games... and like fantaskarsef mentions, always score the lowest option when it asks if I would recommend Origin to a friend... and it does ask that a lot... which is annoying.

I hate Origin and Ubisoft's Uplay - they both suck a LOT, but sadly some of the games I enjoy require them. I understand why publishers all have their own launchers now, but it's ridiculous. I would honestly pay slightly more to NOT have to deal with the individual launchers which is kind of like extortion - create an awful experience and allow people to buy out of it. Anymore, I refuse to buy anything Ubisoft - b/c let's be honest - Ubisoft could care less about PC gamers. Although my Titanfall refuses to work anymore either - good job Respawn (thanks for stealing my money). I enjoy gaming on my PC and building my own rig, but the lack of consideration or care put into many PC games anymore is beyond frustrating some days.

You don't even need Origin for BFBC 2. I just reinstalled mine because it's still a great game with a lot of players still playing it. To my surprise i didn't need Origin to play it again.
