RGB and slightly different shapes of plastics, along with the name Razer (as if this would show quality... /s), just costs a lot...

I paid 500€ for my ultrawide 2 or 3 years ago on a sale so this seems to be nice value for this type of screen.

I had a shovel PG348Q for 1200 EUR, never again. 350 EUR for this is practically free.

The same... gouging my eyes out when I see such a price drop in just 2 years. Well, 348Q is a high quality display, so no complaints there, but looking back, it was just .... too much. I could buy now a 4K OLED 55" TV for that kind of money... ouch !

I would be willing to pay a bit more if it was HDR, just not crazy amounts more. Usually if they don't mention it, it means it doesn't support it.

On an ultrawide, if you make the resolution the same as it would be as a regular 16:9 monitor, in this case 2560x1440, then it will just be a 27 inch square in the middle of the screen with black bars either side. Your competitiveness isn't hampered in any way. But then you can get on a game like Sea of Thieves or No Mans Sky and have a significantly improved experience vs a 27 inch standard monitor.

Chinese price + some tax? They will not sell it as cheap as they could, they will sell it at competitive price to maximize profit.

I've always viewed Xiaomei as a top notch Chinese company with quality products. Their phones are excellent and compete with the best. Nice to see they are getting into the display business. I would have no issue buying a display from them.

For this price ..... I will buy both ! The 34 inch as main my current 27'' goes as secondary and the 24 one as a 3rd monitor ! Bring em over Xiaomi !

considering an ultra wide 34 21:9 inch is about as tall a 27 inch 16:9 i would say the 34 21:9 will give you a competitive advantage will allow you to crank up a bit more the fov giving you better peripheral vision ^^ ... i think i never put that to the test really but sooner or later a 34 ultra wide is on my plans anyway XD

Indeed. I would try their monitors. I replaced Mom's phone with a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 last month. I liked it enough that I just ordered myself a Note 8 Pro yesterday. Seems like they make solid devices at a fair price.

Is that possible in every ultrawide monitors?

I can't say for sure it's possible on every single one, but for it not to work the monitor would have to be forcefully stretching it itself.

With Nvidia there are various driver scaling options, incl aspect ratio, so in-game select of 2560x1440 should not get stretched on a UW.

Do the test with your 16:9 monitor run 4:3 resolutions and try to see if your favorite games will run fine or stretch, with the driver settings i believe you would be able to do it every time.

I wonder how this monitor will spy on users.o_O 😕 Laugh all you want, but lately I've learn to think more about the unthinkable.
