It all depends on quality of IPS screen. Rest of it is quite OK. It just does not directly say if one can use HDR and adaptive sync at same time.

Yes it matters. Because most of screens do not have 400 nits.common screens have like 250. I have 400nits screen and have brightness toned down. If it had HDR, it would make differences in few places. 400nits is enough for HDR. What's problem is inability to actually crunch HDR data, so there is information that's being cut off.

That's the peak, no HDR 400 certified monitor is going to hold that even for a small zone, let alone full screen. Even a monitor which does hold 400 nits would NOT be enough unless it had extremely deep or true blacks which no LCD panel of any type has. Side by side an HDR 400 monitor looks like trash compared to an actual HDR monitor when attempting to display HDR content. Does the certification matter? Yeah because it's more than just a certification about maximum contrast and brightness, in includes minimum standards for things such as color as well. But side by side with another monitor, it's more like an SDR one. The pathetic attempts of some HDR 400 monitors at showing HDR content ends up being so blown out and shitty that an SDR image looks significantly better. Look for comparisons on YouTube if you want to see.

Does anyone know if this will have a properly emulated sRGB mode? Correctly clamping these wide gamut panels to display 100% sRGB without errors or issues and still having the options to calibrate and adjust settings would help this monitor to be good at content creation as well!
