Ah, man just in time. This review is Thicc as Nicky Minaj's retirement announcement.

Nice to see it trading punches with the 2080.

Seems like a decent option if you intend to OC without liquid cooling. Otherwise, I'd rather opt for something thinner.

So... 3 slots cooler more expensive than reference (I assume) louder than reference What a disaster. Why would anyone buy it?

Yeah, I've been on the fence between this and a 2070 Super. I had hoped this big cooler would keep the noise and temperatures under control. I'm disappointed to see it's as noisy as it is.

Load temps lower Factory overclock Better built PCB(while AMD builds their reference PCB very well, this has a better VRM And better chokes) Better cooling solution for higher overclocks and power play table mods XFX Warranty

Take a look at Sapphire, Gigabyte or Asus cards. All should be cool and quiet.

Not impressed, the main reason to get a 3rd party card is improved noise levels, better temperatures and a little more performance - this card is super loud though, that's a deal breaker in my eyes because the supposed improved noise levels of 3rd party cards is I think the most important reason for their existence, as the increased performance is only slight and therefore more inconsequential.

Second.

Good looking cards actually , but what's up with the loud fans ?

The fact that rgb is missing is a big plus but if i had to go with a 5700xt i would go with the sapphire one or strix because of the acoustics. But that's a darn sexy card !

I absolutely have to say, this is a great looking graphics card!!

Disappointed by the non-thicc pics.

Remember this is the Ultra version of Thicc II. The Thicc II "normal" version is quieter and cooler.

XFX need to go back to their perverted innuendo ads. Everyone loved those. Seriously.

Update: please revisit the noise levels as we redid the tests. The BIOS and driver updates and possibly a defective card resulted in a too-high fan RPM. I am still investigating to what exactly is/was the cause.

Does it have bios switch? Have they actually released an updated bios? yup , bios updates on the website.

Yes it does, for both questions.
