1st Witcher has boring combat, but story gets good. 2nd Witcher fixes combat and has good story again. If you played only 1st, get 2nd in discount on steam, you may be pleasantly surprised if you liked books. (if you forgive some visual inconsistencies) I personally can't wait for W3:WH considering who's going to be about.

Yeah I was thinking the same.. the textures look so blocky and bad at places, you can literally see the almost rectangular shape of the meshes/textures, or the outlines..

Witcher devs trying too hard to sound adult is getting annoying is this fake adultness (that's how it sounds to me) innate to original novels?

Animation of environment is splendid, I guess they tuned graphics down to keep 60fps for recording and rest is YT compression. This video gave me impression that W3:WH is Guild Wars 2 single player on steroids. From what they have shown this has rich enough mechanics to be mmo. ...Scary

Books were written 20 years ago and even while society evolved and graphical violence and sexuality is much more common today, great many would get offended/disgust by acts, quotes and events from Saga.

Ok its in novels, but couldn't they make it sound more natural? Its just weird to me - ppl praising sex scenes in Witcher 2 finally truly adult game etc, like sexual revolution had not already been 50 years behind us. I have no problems with sex, profanity or anything, just make it flow, instead of glowing about it
