When was this update released? Because I'm not seeing it in my installed update list.

Information on security update 2823324.
Case in point, security update 2823324 that was a part of this month’s Patch Tuesday release for Windows 7. Some users have been experiencing endless rebooting or a failure of their system to restart after installing the update. To counteract the problem Microsoft has published a KB article to help get affected systems up and running again.

Not you, but it's been an issue with others.

I was reading that most of the people with problems are in Brazil for some odd reason. Not saying others shouldn't uninstall it just an interesting side note.People also having Kapersky installed some were seeing it kick out an error that their license was invalid.

As an added precaution, Microsoft has removed the download links to the 2823324 update while we investigate.
Based on that, yes it was removed from Win Update.

Just go to the usual uninstall window in Control Panel, then click 'View installed updates' on the left side.

Uninstalled, just to be on the safe side. Although I'll probably go back to Windows 8 here soon, only on Windows 7 because I was troubleshooting and issue I was having with steam.

On my system for two days so far, no issue and since it's a security update I am gonna keep it in place.

I had some issues all of a sudden at the time the update was installed with Logitech and Corsair drivers. These were not changed at all, but refused to work properly. I got the system back working. I now assume this update may have been the cause.
