Great, so now there is no way escaping the RGB bloat...

I'll be happy if i can remove the software i have to manage RGB, we need a universal API, it's such a mess right now.

^ Agreed. Anything that helps remove third-party RGB software bloat is welcome. We'll have to see how well it works though since I'm not too confident in Microsoft getting it right without problems.

There have been rgb bloatware that messes up motherboard settings like resetting ram timings or doing weird shit on fans. I wonder what kind of screwup will microsoft do before getting this right.

I can control my MOBO lighting in the Bios, and thats it for me.

RBG bloat..LOL Its always the same guys whining about stuff.. Turn it off! Don't be stupid! Also, you can control all your RBG with Signal RGB. I have Corsair, Razer, EVGA 3090 ti ,Roccat, it controls it all. Its really sweet. Everything syncs up no problem and the profiles are great. Look it up, much easier than anything else on the market.

I'm sure the microsoft one will be less heavy on processing power. Good riddance to some garbage rgb software out there, specially the chinese ones.

Good stuff when I eventually switch to Win11 and if I end up with more hardware with RGB. Maybe it'll be easy to turn it all off. Mouse software allowed turning off the mouse RGB easily enough.

I hope they'll be providing an option to also disable them completely if desired!

I just use OpenRGB for the very few RGB stuff I have and it's only to turn it off (Motherboard and memories)
Would be cool if this can be set and forget and don't use resources like iCue, NZXT Cam and what not.
HATE that shit.
fantaskarsef
If this works, you can turn it off all at once, without any vendor bloat ware.
Honestly, the first reason for me to consider win11.

Ive also noticed that the new windows 11 build add's the windows store app HDR calibration tool by default, uynlike before where you could only turn on hdr in display options and then tune it you'rself threw the sdr/hdr slider

Thank god. Asus' programs are software AIDS.

Given how hard Icue and especially Gigabyte's RGB Fusion fucked me over (almost bricked my mobo), I would welcome something like this, provided it works as intended...

Maybe I'll be able to actually control my RGB when I switch back to 11, when it stops sucking, without my system being ravaged by Asus's AIDSware, it's beyond being just bloat. I have no software control over any of my RGB right now, not my mobo, not my RAM, not my card, because I refuse to install any of that crap.
