Windows 10 is junk. It's like the mutant child of Windows 8.x and Windows 7. Microsoft's "idea" of a unified OS for all things is more stupid than a wet brick. There's no one size fits all... more like the reverse. Apple has my appreciation for keeping OS X and iOS as two separate OS'es. Cheers.

I wonder if Cortana is even intended to appear in minor languages such as mine. It sounds like something requiring considerable work to adapt, so MS might just decide to skip it if the expenses look higher than benefits. I wouldn't blame them. The only problem is that I don't expect them to make non-Cortana Win10 any cheaper, nor come with something else to make up for it.

Download the ISO tool I linked from Microsoft burn to dvd run setup done. Microsoft are staggering the update to all regions.

Ok, updated mine. First it downloaded a massive file. Then the Update process started. It was "preparing for updates" for several minutes.
Then PC restarted and update started, it was in 3 phases, copying files, restart, updating devices and drivers, restart, and finally configuring.
When system booted it was a mess, restarted and found out that a lot of my file associations are there no more. So yay for reinstalling A LOT of software. Reinstalled drivers and there it begins....
However otherwise all works.

Interesting... As you can see from my profile, I am using Windows 7 - a.k.a. the latest sane OS from M$. I am pleased to see that you are well along with the other four legged M$ huggers around. How about dialing down on that "Get back to Windows XP" nonsense. M$ is crap. For the moment there is no real alternative for gamers but if there will be one, well... you won't see me dual boot-ing. Cheers and have a good day/night/evening whatever.
PS: Steam OS has a long way to go but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Good thing you asked. They are trying to mate a pig with an elephant and as we know from South Park... it won't work. When they will release an OS that won't make me feel like puking at first sight, then we'll see progress in the right direction.
PS: Every Metro/Modern "app" is an insult to everyone with an IQ above 80 and also an early sign of IT retardation. Cheers and good happy thoughts. No "modern" thoughts though. Those are retarded.

I'm downloading it on my laptop now to test it before reaching main pc, anyone know if their down speed is locked at about 60mb? for some reason mine stays at 56-58mb steadily, seems Microsoft is saving some bandwidth
