Don't worry about it, though! The unimaginative amongst us will go on using keys like, 'fido,' rover,' 1234, as keys. They will then kick up a fuss when someone openly reads all the material on their rig 😉

I haven't used an AntiVirus in over 8 years, Adblockers and other light apps are more than sufficient to keep things clean on my system at least. I'm sure things are different on other setups. I do occasionally run a full scan just to see if I have picked up something and nada so far.

Me too. I even don't care. You can hack my pc if you want, i don't have anything to hide=) I've disabled UAC, all warning and notifiactions, file checks, zone checks. Cause they don't really do the trick and use my precious time. Firewall (Windows) is all i use.

of course i forgot about: 1. UAC being disabled 2. macros enabled with any prompts within Office documents. 3. Run as Admin for all type of executable files and the list goes on.

No cash for a server yet. Though currently I run OpenVPN on a ASUS RT-AC66U and I can use my smartphone to boot my PC with Wake On Lan remotely through the VPN (otherwise you can't access the router or any of its functions). Then it boots the PC, logs in automatically (netplwiz) and then instantly locks it with a task initiated after logging in that does: "%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation". And then I can do pretty much what I want (stream a movie for instance if I set it up) and then shutdown the PC again if I no longer need it. Though without the VPN you can't do jack sh**.
