Microsoft could just stop collecting our data to begin with it.

Looking forward to this update so far I have had no problems with windows 10

I personally would like to see easier access to the settings (or access at all for those not running enterprise) instead of having to dig in the depths of group policy settings.
I mean it should have been a no-brainer to not give away sensitive permissions in the first place...
BLEH!
I quite liked the privacy options on Windows phone... Could customise exactly what had access to what.

It will improve the "Privacy" protecting us of who, of Microsoft?

Hah, what a joke.

Why don't they just let users see what is sent back? IIRC you can see what is sent back to Apple in iOS. Anyway, if you set it to basic and simply don't use store apps, telemetry shouldn't be much of an issue.

Yep, totally. Ah well, at least they are fixing this.

Some road crossings have dummy buttons people can press, so they feel like they changed something.
But maybe some of those switches can do something. But in reality, one has to do clean installation of this newest version otherwise update does nothing as your year old installation already has all you need installed.

Each new release does indeed improve my privacy because they each make me more and more certain I continue to run LTSB

@Extraordinary
wana come migrate my systems to LTSB, and re set them up they way the need for me? only about dozen or so computers to re config i pay you with some anti privacy clause o_O
yes it gotten to point i just dont want to deal with this stuff anymore, i have enough stress and anxiety with out have to worry about what MS is gona "fix" that didnt needed "fixing"
I told my uncle about this every 6 months new build will be pushed that basically a complete upgrade or clean install depend on if the upgrade worked right or didnt, his response was "screw that I will stop updating my system" his system is already set to notify before downloading, and every time i there i find pending updates cause he either ignores em or just dont want to be bother. unless MS can find way to do these "build" updates with people even noticing it done that updates correct each and every time. i see people getting annoyed by that every 6 months plan with in few years of now.
he could careless about the "privacy" issue people making tsunami waves out of. He think smart phones are far more worse in that regard.

i gave up on the privacy malarkey ages ago! They are welcome to my porn collection 😛
my pet hate is the updates that set all the other junk icons, tabs, settings etc to a like say fresh install 😡

Let me register my rage about MS collecting data on my Facebook page...oh wait. Fun fact: I have never had and never will have a Facebook account.

I can unserstand and respect your idea and your right to privacy but what all this psychotic nonsense about? The privacy state of w10 seems fair, why is everyone so concerned about it?

''Microsoft will also make it easier to see how privacy information is collected in the installation of the Fall update''
Why they are still called ''privacy'' information when somebody actually is collecting them?? :P
