I'm itching to put my Ti up for sale, but first I need to see an improvement of at least 30% across the board (when comparing stock 980Ti to stock 1080) And I need to wait a little while for a custom AIB anyway, not buying a FE

We all know the 1080 will be total overkill. What I am really looking forward to is the 1070, which I may be able to afford over where i live.

This. I'm in no rush this time around, would rather wait to get a good AIB. Do plan on selling the Ti's (if at all) before Polaris though, that could send resale down further

I see it clearly now. Hype is real! But I do not go with it as always. And so, I can say few things. No matter how much better GTX 1080 is over GTX 980 Ti (Stock/OC), price is bad. I have already seen preorders for $700. And there are only two possibilities to follow. 1st) GTX 1080Ti will be $1000 and Titan will be dropped or even more expensive. 2nd) GTX 1080 price goes down to make space for GTX 1080Ti in few months ...I do not see people being happy about either of those. And I already have prediction for next Gameworks feature. It will be full of semi-transparent stuff with tons of tessellation. Like special fog, smoke from guns, clouds.

Titan won't be dropped im sure, and i can see them going in that direction with gameworks.

It's a real bad idea to get the non ti model just to have the latest and greatest because that spotlight the 1080 holds in the sun will get dark real fast.
