I actually posted something about this a long time ago, should be in my post history. There's no "framerate" because your cones and rods are continuously sending pulses to your brain, and the pulses are on a per cone, per rod basis. So every cone and rod would have to have it's own framerate measured. And there's no real "resolution" only cone density. Which varies depending location within the eye. The center back being the densest. But it is neat to have a general idea of eye resolution. Just wish it wasn't the vsauce guy. I don't mind Vsauce 2 and vsauce 3, but this guy gets annoying after a while.

576mega pixels that is all? we long ways away from have displays like that

You know it's real science when the first 4 mins are telling you the proceeding 4 mins will be totally wrong XD

Or a resolution of 32000x18000, plus a graphics card powered by a nuclear reactor

It's rather complicated to compare the retina's spatial resolution to a CCD/CMOS censor. The photosensitive cells in the eye are placed in a random order with variable density over a curved surface, while the digital censor is a flat piece of silicon with strictly ordered photo-elements. This one of the reasons why we perceive pixel aliasing in digital images as artificial and unrealistic.

Thy "resolution" depends upon the one's brain's SENSORY NEURONES! Just like ....not everyone... can solve ARITHMETIC problems...... so called "DYSCALCULIA".... ------in some aspects----------- http://i58.tinypic.com/2qs0946.gif

Yeah he gets on my nerves too. Just can't stand his inability. To. Finish. A. Sen. Tence.

The background music too.. don't forget about the background music. It always kicks in at a very predictable time, and it's always the same. He makes blah blah comment, then asks a question.. and it kicks in. One of the other Vsauce guys has something that drives me nuts too, the background audio has some sort of text-to-speech, but i can never figure out what it says. It's on the LUT videos.

What is the resolution of the eagle eye? Id be curious since it can see the rabbits from a mile! He must have zoom in function in his eyes 😀
