Flash cells are already as small as they can ever get in this universe. It's why they started stacking them vertically, as they are unshrinkable in a 2D plane. And if you look at the numbers trend, the increase in size of a columns of cells is slowing down significantly. My guess is it will top out before 1000. Which means, even with maximum possible technology in this area, we'll never see a MicroSD bigger than 4 TB. ... that is, unless some other sci-fi tech that is not NAND Flash appears from somewhere and is cheap enough to be mass produced on the huge scale NF is.

There is a simple explanation for the weight discrepancy - it's 13kg when empty and 15kg when full 🙂.
