Or possibly even the mention of their (hopefully/supposed) RX 5900 XT?!?!?! Ray traced beast coming mid 2020?? PLEASE! I would love some true competition in the market regarding feature sets with performance/cost ratio of that of AMD!! GIMME...…. GIMME.... GIMME.

Tic-Toc was Intel's lazy production schedule when it believed itself secure from competition. It's strictly a monopolist's schedule, imo. I doubt AMD will "tic-toc" as for them it will be balls-to-the-walls, pedal-to-the-metal with each new CPU release. IE, actual architecture improvements and changes are what we will see from AMD from now--if what they've been saying is true, and I see no reason as of now to doubt it.

Agree. AMD is doing a tic and toc each generation ie architecture and process improvements/die shrinks. They need to keep that up though and I have no doubt that is exactly what they plan. Lisa Su has been unrelenting and I don't see that slowing down any time soon.

They are not doing a tick tock model.
IC: Recently an interview with an AMD executive related the current roadmap as a sort of tick-tock model, based on what Intel used to run for a decade. Do you have parity with this analysis?
MP: I didn’t see the particular interview you’re referring to, but what I will say is that we’re not on a tick-tock model. What we’re doing is looking at each generation of CPU and marrying the best process variant that’s out there with the right set of IPC improvements, memory hierarchy, and all the things that we can put in there. We are committed to staying on the best possible pace of improvements each generation that we can. This is a formula that’s working well for us at AMD.

Still 2 hours to go from my end...

AMD is riding a horse now and has no intention of unmounting it. Cannot wait for a conference to begin. . .
Yes, although I expect the niece of the NVidia CEO will continue to not compete in high-end graphics sector. That'll just make the family Christmas get-together awkward.

Currently all the eggs are in the CPU basket, next year I expect high-end GPU competition from AMD.

Not true. Why do you have to lie about it? [Quote]will continue to not compete in high-end graphics sector. Radeon RX 5700XT for $400 is high-end by my book. It's just GeForce RTX 2080 for $700 is on the outrageous-end. Hopefully AMD will soon be able to do the same to NVidia GPU pricing as they did to Intel CPU pricing.

https://www.cw.com.tw/article/article.action?id=5061946 Google Translate: It is worth mentioning that another Taiwanese semiconductor elite, Nvidia founder Huang Renxun (Jensen Huang) also came from Tainan, and has a relative relationship with Su Zifeng (Lisa Su). Su Zifeng’s grandfather and Huang Renxun’s mother are brothers and sisters I don't know what that makes them but yeah.

Lads, let's focus on what AMD will unveil.

Seems rather OK, but not sure I want to ditch 2GB of VRAM. According to GPU-Z I was using 7444MB running Arkham Knight at 1440p

I think it will be absolutely fine for 1080p gaming and shouldn't be to bad for 1440p. Performance of this card will be pretty damn good.

No RX 5900 or 5800.

Lisa Su is killing it.

Hilbert, did you get any RX 5600XT cards for reviewing?
