I tried VLC again after years of only MPC-HC and lately Potplayer usage, but I was getting a lot of crashes... by simply trying to load avi ( xvid ) videos. Also, I haven't seen improvements in terms of resources utilization. I mean, Potplayer is using extremely low CPU/GPU resources and now MPC-HC with LAV-filters built-in ( v. 1.70 ) is almost as close... No visible differences in image quality. Also, Potplayer is the only player that can show subtitles on all formats while using EVR renderer ( not custom present ). Last but not least, on VLC I cannot get as good quality subtitles as on other 2 players. Rincewind my a$$ :P

Seriously, someone tell me in what is better VLC or even MPC-HC than PotPlayer, and exactly when those players, well VLC especially, were actually any good because years of using and testing (since 2004?), BSplayer then KMP and currently PotPlayer (since 2011 in my case) were a lot better in their times than those ones. And I mean they (VLC, MPC, WMP and many more) never filled my needs, always there were files they didn't play, setting that you couldn't change, subs you couldn't use etc... I don't remember to ever have a problem of any kind with any release of PotPlayer...
