That's not a problem, as people still on Windows 7 won't ever upgrade. Their privacy is worth more than a secure OS. Let's just hope they're not connected to the internet.

If 7 users hadnt upgraded to 10, why would they go to 11? Everything they hate about 10 will be compounded in 11.

Also, most machines running 7 wont fill the requirements needed to install 11

The fact that Win 10 and 11 are insanely invasive sucks but anyone on Win 7 doesn't have much of a choice but to move on, too many modern features are being left out of Win 7 and and security has to be an issue. It's time to move on and surrender your data to MS.

Exactly. They most likely won't have a UEFI BIOS, secure boot and a TPM chip. (Despite being able to run Win10 most probably)

Says the guy with an iPhone in his pocket...or android. Doesn't matter. Both are spyware far worse than any operating system from MS. Maybe customize your privacy settings in your operating system? Ever try on win 10? Its real easy.

This is based on microsofts current trainwreck of misinformation and the idea that windows 11 can't boot legacy bios period, which has so far proven to be false. Keep in mind folks that you couldn't go from 7 to 8.1 directly either, 8.0 was a necessary middleman. 10 is now that middleman.

Apparently I don't exist 😀 But that's just my secondary PC because I've been lazy.

Upgrading to 10 (which is free) and then to 11 (which is also free) would probably work just fine. I think I will try this to confirm but I would be astonished if this doesn't work.

what really ment but it wont contain documents or installed apps? does that mean win7 key used when installing win 11 will just install OS no pre installed apps? and what ever is ment by no documents?

I tired of that argument the phone everyone has in the freaking pockets is much more invasive then win OS, atlest on win os you can disconnect the mic and camera and not have to worry about mic hearing everyone word you say and camera being on withoy your knowledge,well so long as as it not laptop or what ever that has built in with no way actual disable other then via "software" All your phone call mess and data going threw said smart phones is monitored. just like your facebook,twitter what ever other social account you have that on the internet. multiple agency have alluded to to fact in in other place outed by "whistle blowers" but it over looked cause those same people. Even if all data is encrypted it has to be decrypted at end point and if they have means that info is out there to decrypted and it can be if there is will too. So people need stop with this crap about what MS is doing cause they arenot doing anything worse then what your smart phone is doing. you smart phone is worse it has built personal track in it value your privacy? get off the internet and stopping using credits cards among other things. do people really thing there twitter and facebook post ant not monitor? i mean really they all remove post people make lately that cause issue or them. and if if you never had post removed it is STILL monitored

it means it deletes all your installed stuff and only retains the files in your user folder.
