So still nothing for another 2y, no mentioning if it comes with (forced) ABL. ignoring that im not interested in a smaller screen than what i use now (50in), as i dont care for more than one screen (in that room).

I don't understand, my 2019 oled tv is great for gaming i would like to understand what they think they are improving. Those screens will be expensive more than a large good tv anyway

@asturur unless the manufacturer of yours does not use ABL (doubt it), its not "great" for me. ppl tend to use the same screen for gaming for desktop use as well, and i dont know any oled that doesnt dim brightness when looking at stuff for longer (browser/docs), the sonys tvs dont iirc, but im not shelling out ~50% more (over my fald).

that 39" WOLED is very interesting to me - i would prefer it was QD-OLED but the size is perfect. I have the 38" Alienware (IPS) currently and the size is amazing - just an absolutely perfect monitor from a size and 21:9 perspective - unfortunately that monitor has like 5 dimming zones (not exaggerating) which makes it really bad for playing dark-heavy HDR games like resident evil.

39-42" :|

39 or 42 sound good then they will cost 2-3k and I would just get a 50'' inch OLED tv and live with black bars !:P

21:9 though - for gaming it's just an unbelievably better experience than 16:9

really depends. i rather have a 50in in UHD, than a 40in in 4K.

so more oLED are coming there stupid highy refreshes to keep the price high. let me know when we oLED monitors that are 27" 60hz and under 300$ so probably never or i should say I will be dead before it happens or another tpye display will come along and replace it

LG c series can have it disabled with a $7 shipped service remote off ebay.

yes for some genres especially is awesome ....but 34'' inch 21:9 is roughly the same size as 40 inch with black bars on top and bottom so in my mind is like having the cake and eating it too ! the 21:9 screens have lower vertical lower resolution while they keep the same density so it seems they use cropped off 16:9 and with the blacks being so deep why would i pay for an 21:9 monitor while i can get a bigger 16:9 and just play with black bars on top and bottom and when i see say a movie or do some other task that the 16:9 is preferred just working it as such ?

-7$, did it for free with ColorControl software, it even supports keyboard macros/shortcuts so you don't have to use a remote for changing brightness profiles etc.

Yes, but then you have to let the TV onto your network 🙂.

Exactly, when I said this at other OLED reviews, I was bashed. I dont want 240hz, nothing is for free. I want 120hz max. Hell I believe 60hz OLED would be really good in motion clarity as well, paired with Freesync and Im golden. And NO, I dont want a huge screen in front of my face burning my brains of. I want 27 maybe 30. The market went full retarded :X

34" 3440x1440 OLED is pretty nice too, I dont feel overwhelmed by mine on a 48" x 22" desk

@HybOj brightness (setting) has no relation to screen size, nor does anyone force you to run it at a certain level. (movie) screens are bigger for a reason, and even outside "watching", able to see 2 A4 docs side by side, at decent text size, is a nice benefit of using a large screen (50 in my case).
