Amazing real life realistic rendering. Been a fan of Unreal since UT Goty of 1999

There are only three problems with this. 1. missing toilet paper holder in bathroom 🙂 2. games do not look like this yet 3. I want stuff like this to run 4K@60+FPS on my rig

Mind you this is 720p at 25 fps in a completely static environment. Still a ways off for something like this in a usable form.

Looks great, but it seems like the reflections from colored objects do not exist. For how bright that room was, the orangey chair should've cast orange onto that wall behind it.

Nice, but so what? If we can't see this in games. Thanks to consoles.
Really...because a console can't do this it means that Dev's cannot in ANY way at all do this for a PC game ever. I'm still amazed people actually believe this **** and post it :bang:. Back to the video though it's dam impressive even if it's static and something like this in a Silent Hill / horror game would be very nice. Unreal has always has great tech it's just dependent on the studio being able to master it. If you zip back 5 years this would easily be something only possible using Vray/mentalray but is being rendered in real time, in a game engine.

What? Consoles are now running x86 based systems, so if anything it's going to do the opposite of this.

RE2 HD made with this would be something...!

Yea, the guy who made it posted on a forum that there were bugs with the last one and he took it down from his site, said the new one would be up the next day, so he's a day late 🙂

It runs pretty well on this quickly ageing GPU. Just running it out of the box I get 55-70 fps.

The mirrors in the bathroom need cleaning, pleased mine aren't that misty lol Forced vSync through NVCP, cranked up all the settings in there too for this demo, not sure if it made any difference to quality but vSync works

Found some preset's you can use for it here, http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/2tybmq/paris_demo_dk2_hack_download_link_included/ Run's a lot better using the "Good" preset. Constant 60fps vsync in 1080p. Though it seems to disable whatever AA it was using before. Still looks great, FXAA helps a little bit. EDIT: Seems changing the line sg.AntiAliasingQuality to 1 in GameUserSettings.ini fixes that. Still chuggs at 60 fps. Also this is where you can change the resolution.

Ah nice cheers, I`ll have a play about with that on the DK2 tomorrow

This is a furniture simulator. How and why people get so impressed about moving around in a static and very small environment just because of graphics in these tech demo's I'll never know. It's a tech demo, of course it looks good but I'd be more impressed to see it made into some kind of interactive video game of sorts.

Because it's fascinating that not long ago it would have taken a supercomputer hours to generate a single frame of what we can do now on the fly. That's kinda the point of all tech demos. It's an achievement.

Plus it's showing off what one of the best game engines around can create

I'm running SLI but the demo uses one card only. Can it be forced to use more?
