"Today, developers are more likely to choose a graphics API based on feature support and compatibility" Is DX11 really that much slower still than DX12 for draw calls as demonstrated in this feature test? And companies choose to develop games using this horrible slow interface simply to widen their potential sales market for all those stuck with it? Or is DX12 now available for Windows 7 also, so there is no reason to ever use DX11 again?

So what? What's the big deal here? As if we did not know that "when old benchmarks are used with new hardware, the results can be skewed...". PCMark 8 will be upgraded to PCMark 9, 3DMark sky diver will be followed by 3DMark para-glider...Just like cooperatively organized virus infection (aka covid) 19 will be upgraded to covid21 etc...
