Top dog atm (apart from U4E, Luminous), can't wait to see more games using this engine. 🙂

It's a neat engine but
Experience a chaotic and devastated New York City like you have never seen before.
There's got to be some sort of fetishism that causes them to always go either pretty water, jungle or New York City.

Meh the world will still be dead, you still don't be able to go in every building and the A.I will still suck.

WOW 🙂 and when you think you saw everything... 🙂 boom i really liked the engine and details seriously, but what hardware you need for this? and Jungles are cool, New York is cool 🙂

Current hardware will be just fine considering it's made to run on "next gen" consoles....:)

Hmmm, not sure man, they usually do these tech demos on very high end PCs to "catch the eye" of the viewer. So it might not look this good on PS4/xbone (which are already dated hardware wise lol) but on PCs at resolutions of at least 1440p with AA it will be a diffrent story. I'm pretty sure it will require a beast of a rig to say the least.

One of the guys on massive said it was running in the PS4 dev kit, so yeah. Plus these are the same guys that made World in Conflict which was easily the best looking RTT/RTS game for some time (it might actually still be tbh). It was like the first game that showed off DX10 performance gains.

Well I think minimum to run above 40fps @1080p with all eye candy (no aa obviously) would be a 580/7870/660Ti gpu + a fast 8threaded cpu.

Doesn´t look better than Cryengine 3 or Frostbite 2 but okay... Now they only need to do games that are fun to play instead of the crap thay have been releasing year after year...

Dunno, I think it looks better than both. To each his own I guess.

@H83 its all in the details imo, -finally realistic volumetric looking smoke; FrostByte engine or Cryengine or Glacier2 doesnt have it so good. -debris damage fx (bullets through that billboard or car debris), no engine has it so detailed atm -active shaders to manipulate weather changes (snow melts properly) -detailed day/night cycle, the best I've seen atm. Ok U4E, Luminous has amazing gfx, but there is no game using it yet. -highly detailed textures/objects are just some of the things I noticed and thought it looked amazing (CGI like). I can't wait for more games, although this The Division is nothing special, but this engine has a lot of potential 🙂 Edit: high quality video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXeH9OqygzI and its basically from gameplay with added "tech info"

In the presentations all game engines look amazing... It´s when you add the gameplay that things go wrong and then the engine can only provide half of what it promised... If i´m not mistaken Cryengine 3 and Frostbite 2 also looked much better in presentations than they are reality but i could be wrong. Still my biggest concern is about the gameplay because since the first Crysis graphics have been amazing but the gameplay worse than ever...

Honestly I think the gameplay demo they showed off looks better than the engine presentation. The animations are incredible.

knowing ubisoft I don't think they will get it running like it is shown on the consoles, I don't really think of them when I think of well optimized game engines.

The engine is developed by Massive who also developed Ground Control way back in the day and World in Conflict, both games known for great graphics and performance on the PC. This isn't even to mention that this engine is like one of the first that's developed for next gen consoles which are essentially computers anyway. This is like a fresh plate for engine development. You can't say "WELL THEIR PREVIOUS ENGINES ON 360 SUCKED SO THIS ONE WILL TOO" doesn't quite work like that. Especially when it's two completely different teams and in this case on opposite sides of the planet.

This game is going to be a massive multiplayer world thingy, like dayz. so by AI, you mean other players which I'm sure there will be a lot that will suck too haha. The engine looks great, and ubisoft, at least for me, have been doing absolutely amazing when it comes to games lately. top game company for me.

Another multiplayer only game? Another bland shooter? Seriously? I'll pass.

Means nothing until i see it in-game and on the shelves.

Even at 720p i doubt the PS4 has the power to run graphics like that. Especially after looking at some "next-Gen" PS4 games that have horrible LOD, over use of depth-of-field to hide draw distance, and low texture quality in general.

Looking good !
