I heard these games are pretty good fun, got one of the older ones in a humblebundle a while back, might have to fire it up and try it out 🙂

Never played a tropico game but it actually looks nice, kinda like anno but more into the populations fate. I might give a try soon.

I think I got the same Humble Bundle as you, which came with Tropico 5. I played it, and as much as I really wanted to like it (there were a lot of great qualities about it), I just couldn't. IMO, there were way too many playability issues. It seems catered to people who are already experienced with the series, which is ironic because I hear it recycles many of the game resources from Tropico 4 (in which case, that doesn't sound too interesting). On the note of T4, I hear that game was much better, where ironically it doesn't have any of the problems that T5 has. But since you already have it, might as well give it a shot.
All that being said, I hope T6 fixes the gripes people had with T5. I'd like to give the franchise a 2nd chance.

Will have to see then, when I find a replacement GPU I will use it as a good excuse to try it out. ...My Fury finally died I think, soldering on with my old 5850 atm 🙁
(going to try out my heat gun on it, after a little research, see if I can breath fresh life into it)

As a long time PC gamer, I can honestly say that the Tropico series is one of the rare gems that manages to be funny (like 1990's Monkey Island funny) and still really fun to play. I highly recommend it, even to players that aren't fans of city building games.
