Somewhat of a Risky Business, but if Nasa and Space X work together it might not be a Impossible Mission after all, but if they mess up while Cruise is up there he could quite literally become a Rain Man spread across the atmosphere and into Oblivion. And i am spent.:p

Looking forward to it, Tom Cruise is the last actor that make me go watch a movie because it's a Tom Cruise movie.

@XP-200 Meanwhile Steve Carell points and laughs...as he's currently hipper than the Legend Tom Cruise, who on a Day of Thunder in company of a Few Good men, will breach our Vanilla Sky with his Eyes Wide Shut in an American Made rocket, having been trained to perform All the Right Moves, including a Cocktail of gestures for when he's weightless and Far and Away...so hopefully he won't be Losin' it, even though when he does, all the damage will just be Collateral, after showing NASA the Color of Money...the suggestion of him not making it into space is probably just a Minority Report... *gasps for air*

Why am I not surprised that TC is going for the stars, as Scientology is said to believe in alien souls inside of us etc. But seriously, I doubt filming that thing in space actually does make it better. Nice PR stunt though. I hope nothing goes wrong on the space station....

Astronauts are quite well trained in handling high-end cameras and lens. They need to do that for scientific purposes, or monitoring the Earth below (and also for fun, social media, etc.) No problem whatsoever for them to keep a camera pointed at Cruise. Actually, they might be better at it than any ground based filming crew, since they are USED to do work in micro-gravity and float around, unlike common camera-crew.

Not to mention that all this gear that people have to hold with straps to hold steady and weights a lot ... Up there you can hold up with your pinky finger !

So it's going to be awful, we all know this right? That this is an entire movie built around a premise rather than using the premise because it happens to be part of the movie. He did that Halo jump in the last Mission Impossible because the movie just happen to have a scene in which his character was required to do a Halo jump. Tom Cruise wants to go to space lets make a movie about Tom Cruise going to space.

Nobody mentioned that the earth is flat and they aren't in space which means if there proposing to do this there monkeys on a spinning ball propaganda is starting to fail after a good 60 + years entertaining times ahead

Well, it means getting real world set equipment to orbit. Is movie going to be about weapons platform in space? I wonder if we are about to find out that Zeus Cannon from movie turned to be actually fully functional. [youtube=bJ12s2kx_-M]
