Basically, if you can play OW1 you can play the beta. It's the same client.
edit: I'm not sure if I was correct on this one, BETA is another ~13,5 GB download. I apologize

There needed to be a second game?

Overwatch 1.5, it took them this long to bring out the same game with more features while neglecting OW1 and killing the userbase.

This could, and should, have been an optional expansion for story mode only.

Beta download seems to be 13,5GB so I think I was wrong, it looks like a new client.

My advice for this another try is to keep the amount of heroes limited. Many new heroes make it daunting to get into the game if you take a break. Do not make constant changes, but instead try to keep the game as familiar as possible at all times. Of course new levels and such are easier to digest, but constantly changing balance and ever occuring confusion on the battlefield takes you out of the experience. I really think the original revision at the release was a good game, I played it for some time.

Anybody else playing this? Asking because I've got a feeling that they messed with the internal timer of some sorts, and maybe even input mechanics.

The game doesn't feel the same. Slightly different. Anyway, PVE will be paid content and new hero skins are coming. The game will look different. It plays about the same on low graphics, but my 3080 laptop gpu can't even max out the fps at 1440P on max details (no upscale).
