Is it just me, or are all these eerily reminiscent of Noctua's designs? Does Thermaltake have an original bone in their body anymore?

How else would you design heatpipe tower coolers ? The design was pretty much perfected since mid 2000's

Noctua didn't invent this method. It's been used this way for nearly two decades. I remember having an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro back in like 2006 which became a legend amongst CPU coolers. One of the best CPU coolers I had back in 2008/9 was a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme check them out https://www.quietpc.com/tr-ultra-90 there is a reason why the designs haven't changed much its because they work very well.

Well, they DID basically cloned Noctua's new 120mm fan, so honestly, it was also the first thing that popped into my mind. Not buying Tt. Am Noctua fanboi.

Air cooling has been so sad lately, 10 years ago at least you would see some interesting designs, this thermaltake is just a generic aliexpress air cooler

Till we find something better than heatpipes air coolers will not change at all. They are the most cost efficient trouble free cooling you can have . Anyone ever heard of a failing aircooler? (Except fans) . Meanwhile aio have expiration date . Would you slap a 10year old aio on a new cpu ? I would gladly smack my 12 year old scythe ninja 2 on my ryzen 😛..... If i was not too lazy to sit down and start chopping and drilling to make my own mount .... One of these days ! :P

they are pretty good indeed, in fact heat pipes is proven technology even in the industry field, i'm talking about the visual aspect, some years ago you had those crazy designs that were really different, even thermaltake had some pretty funky designs

one of the companies i like a lot is Scythe and had the kama angle and some funky designs the reason those are gone is cause their shape is maybe funky but they are not as efficient or no gain from the angles so making funky designs is not cost effective really . Except if there is some unknown physics cheat shape :P pretty much it boils down how fast can you absorb the heat and how fast you can transfer it to the fins to as much surface area as possible and since after 2010 airflow is kind of standard on cases any other funky shape that does not follow the case flow it will give you lower temperatures even if we are talking for 1 c ...or 0.1 c :P i think a lot of the air cooling creator companies replaced the funky designs with rgb fans :P
