"can cool up to 280 Watt" Typical marketing bull****. Throwing around a number like that without specifying what temperatures are associated with it, means absolutely nothing. For all I know, it could be 280W at -50°C ambient and +500°C CPU temperature. The worst thing about it: 99,999% of consumers walk right into the trap, as they don't have a college degree in thermodynamics. Watch out for these sleazy marketing tactics people!

i agree that marketing "angles" in general are quite retarded & unfortunately very widespread these days, but keeping that in mind - thermalright is the last company to call sleazy out of any of em. theyve been around forever & their products are just about the cream of the crop. hell, they spearheaded the integration & development of heatpipes themselves within heatsinks (ages ago). meanwhile theyre still kicking...albeit less hard these days, since thermaltake ripped off their products shamelessly, & then noctua showed up to give them real competition. if you doubt this thing could dissipate heat generated from any overvolted proc then go ahead & test it...i agree that the 280w figure is absurd to throw around however i also agree this poor hsf has a stupid name, hahaha. maybe thermalrights marketing dept has suffered cutbacks :P
