Why?... cause CAPITALISM. They offered an extremely good cooling solution for pennies to call the atention of costumers and now they are the brand in the mouth of everybody, the hot shi**, the boy of the block. Now they can charge more and more for the same thing until they become a Corsair, a noctua, a razer of its own category. That's that simple, people who had the chance to buy affordable and good products will be the very last to actually have a real decent product, time to raise as high as customers are willing to pay, thanks to "reputation" built from word of mouth.

IF the case allows for it, just get the Peerless Assassin 120 SE and be done with it. I'm using it on my 2nd rig - R9 3900X + GB X570S Aorus Elite AX - and it's doing a damn nice job. Recall looking at temps and thinking it's quite comparable to when I had that CPU in my main rig running a Tt Bigwater 3.0 360mm AIO.
