Pre-ordered the game the moment it was possible, but I can see now I might need a few upgrades if I wish to play this game smoothly on high or ultra settings. ;O

Who knows maybe those extra threads come in handy.

I heard that quite few times already but everytime i5 is all you need. Core clock is still the king.

I hear the game runs VERY well. A single card can nearly max the game. Very well optimized. INSTANT buy. Loved Witcher 2.

Why do I get the feeling that the game will be nvidia optimized :frown:

It will run fine on your card. Guarantee it.

Single core performance is still very important, yes, but with the new consoles using 8 core processors, new games will naturally be much more multithreaded - games based on good engines such as frostbite and cryengine has always scaled very well with the amount of threads though.

Me too, on GOG so the developer gets all the money. But i don't worry about performance too much, W2 ran well on my old GTX 560 Ti, without supersampling off course 🙂

Dont get the cpu requirements.. A 2500k is like 50% faster than a X4 940

For the PS4 at least, it has been confirmed that only six cores and 5-5,5GB RAM are available for gaming

I didn't care for Witcher when I tried it but, I gotta say, the latest screenshots of W3 are looking pretty sweet graphics wise.

I hope there are lots of settings to tweak. I got Inquisition working fine @ 50-60fps 1080p with it barely looking diferent from ultra while being @medium/high/ultra settings. Going to try that first, if it runs like crap, maybe that GPU upgrade will come.

Wonder if we'll be treated to the sight of Triss Merigold's breasts jiggling around

CDproject one few left DRM FREE and all DLC FREE so moment it was posible i pre-order on GOG.COM. This kind of companys should always be supported by true PC gamers.

Good grief Graphics card wise I barley make the recommended requirements. Everything else I am over the recommended specs.

oh finally my system is going to the minimum requirement zone :O tho a 2500K and X4 940 seems off, an i3 SB and up could rival it.

Right on the dot!! Hurray!
