I've finished the Witcher 3, and I just finished the first expansion pack. I'm really looking forward to the second expansion pack... the attention to detail in this game is refreshing. I love it.
Really I cannot wait for a game based on the a Song of Ice and Fire world... games based on books have brilliant stories and memorable characters.
I hope if HBO or GRRM want to make it, they should aim to grab the team that made the Witcher 3, its producers, and everyone else involved in the production of this game.

Blackfyre, altough I agree with your vision, I doubt it will ever happen. Mainly because (as to often with TV/movie based games) HBO is only looking for cashgrabs with the GoT franchise, and all the games that came out under the licence with the exception of the Telltale game, were very poor. They simply don't have the balls/will to make such a "risky" investment.
As for Blood and Wine... more like Blood, Boobs and Wine I hope, or a vampire with boobs that also likes wine. :eyebrows:

I thought there was a game of thrones rpg awhile back. The reviews for it were bad, never played it myself.

They said this is not the end of Witcher series but Geralt story is over. We'll probably see new protagonist.

Probably off base, but the camera is definitely positioned way back in both of these screen shots, which gives me hope, however futile, that maybe CDPR will bring back the fully zoomable camera from W1! That's the only suggestion I can make towards improving this magnificent game...been asking for it since W2...

Still fully entrenched in Witcher 3.. been my primary game for months now.
I only just recently finished the main story quests in Skellige and found my way back to Kaer Morhen, which OMG looks INCREDIBLE with SweetFX on the X34 Ultrawide.. like, wow.
I literally spent 2 hours last night just running around that area since I hadn't seen it since the very start of my playthrough.. W3 is amazing.
Very stoked for the expansions as well, and will likely pick up the season's pass once I get closer to completing the main game.

Yea, it's hard to find enough positive superlatives to describe W3, isn't it? Almost daily, I see something in the game that just makes me marvel at the imagination, care, and attention lavished on this game by the developer, CDPR. And stable--! If I've had a single CTD in 120+ hours with this game I do not recall it. They could've worked half as hard on the game and put out something of Skyrim quality and they'd have sold probably as many copies--the fact that they didn't but instead put everything they as a developer could do into the game just makes W3 stand out from the crowd--it really is one of a kind, imo. They've forever raised the bar for RPGs, imo. What a great thing...W3 made what EA put out in DA:I look like a child's finger-painting scribbling by comparison...absolutely no contest in every category, imo.

Ugh don't even get me started on DA:I. i'm still pissed at Bioware for that pile o crap. I played that game maybe 20 hours before I said enough and haven't opened it since. Total waste of money.

Yeah, if Bioware wouldn't be under those hacks at EA, their stuff would be a lot better. I still liked DA:I (over 350 hours in it), simply because of I liked the gameplay, and it was a lot better than DAII, but it could have been so much more.
And then I look at Witcher 3, and it IS SO MUCH MORE... and then some, with likely a fraction of the budget a game like DA:I or FO4 has. I just hope they will keep it up, and not get under someone like EA/Activision sometime in the future...

Bioware's days as a top tier RPG dev are gone. They havent developed a good new game since they were acquired by EA. And no DAO and ME were just released under EA's reign, they were both well in development when it all went down.
Anyway with the rumors about EA wanting to put a dagger and kill CDP too from a couple of months ago.. well lets just say I hope it never happens.
oi and scoobs, what'd you do with your SLi 970s? Sold em off?

i loved DA, but DA2 was a total fail: no story, more cute but lot less choise in possible action... a step back.
DA inquisition despite it's stupid interface is really a great game (and not expensive in it's new GoTY edition for xmas).
i never been too much in Witcher's story... maybe it's too much Klingon lol 🙂
but i was really pleased by W3, they have made a real great job.
and it work so great with only a GTX 950 and a I3... lot of work on it, small price: a pure hit.

Very true. Sad to see how EA has had the "EA" effect on Bioware. If they ever get their clutches on CDPR that would be a dark day indeed.
And yeah, sold off my 970s. Found I was playing games that didnt have any sli support more often and decided that I wanted to watercool, so naturally its easier to watercool a single GPU instead of two, so sold them off and picked up a 980TI which is now on water. Much better :thumbup:
