This just might fit in my HTPC!
Kinda disappointed with the Noctua setup I got for it. Stock 1600af in it, and it will push 55c avg. Not even for a solid overclock.
Thank you, it is for what it is. 55c is good, but no overhead really to slap a better cpu in it. Dont think it will cool a 5600x well.
If i am not mistaken both 1600af and 5600x are 65 watt cpus i do not think you would encounter issues . You can do the test with your main rig cpu with out oc 😛 if you are not bored 😛

Ive thought about swapping the cpus for the fun of it.
I wanna see how much a 1600AF overclocked to 4ghz would bottleneck a 6800xt. My 5600x runs kinda hot even in a custom loop. That could be because its a cheap cpu block though. But it also overclocks really well.

Obviously overclocking the 5600x on the htpc is not recommended 😛 , and about the bottleneck if you game at 4k it might not be a bottleneck at all !

I know I ran into times my 2700x @ 4.3 was bottlenecking me @ 3840x1080 144hz is very cpu dependent games. Barely pushed 100fps.
Depends on the game for sure cs go etc the fastest cpu cores the better. I did not consider cpu bound games . My mistake cause of my mindset if i hit 75 or more i do not care anymore but this is on me 😛
