I've played TESO during a free weekend last year. The game seems to have gotten much better since release, but I'm not really a MMO type of guy. Nice to see that Catland will feature in the next expansion.

I recently bought it as WoW was disappointing, to say the least, and it's pretty fun experience. Especially for casual gameplay. Plenty of quests and story content, combat is fun. However, there is pretty much no satisfying end game raiding as in wow, or even proper PVP.
I must say this really went a long way from release, which was quite horrible.

The main problem with this game is the combat and animations, they're just super weird and don't feel or look good, if they fixed the combat and animations then would be great, i have a few hundreds of hours on this game but was mostly exploring as i simply dislike the combat.
Also there was a memory leak in 2016 when i played in large scale PVP that FPS would just drop over time and become unplayable and only way to fix was to restart game, i've tried the game in 2018, the issue was still there.
After playing Guild Wars 2, Black Desert and Final Fantasy XIV, ESO feels like a mobile game when it comes to combat and animations.

The memory leak is still there, sadly.
The game is great though.

is that Tiber Septim?
legit question, he was a dragon born himself so accidentally unleashing dragons on Tamriel makes sense....

They need to take that game engine out back and put a cap to it's head.
It's foaming at the mouth.
DX11 release date from Microsoft = November 2008
DX12 release date from Microsoft = July 2015
Hero engine DX11 release = December 2017 - 9 years late
Hero Engine DX12 release = No plans

This is Zenimax / Bethesda ffs - they don't have any money for a new engine?
Unreal is free
Unity is free
Cryengine is free
Source2 is free
Frostbite is free...if you are willing to be satans minion, working for Electronic Arses
More importantly - don't they own ID TECH????
Madness. We, want to move forward; they want to nickel and dime the very game franchises that need the opposite of what they are getting. Ancient, clunky decades old tech - and then charge us "AAA" pricing for it.
This, has to stop.

The underlying code is directly from the hero game engine.
And to prove this point - the game doesn't have a DX12 renderer

DirectX 12 isn't a magic pill, its more of a suicide pill really.
Loobyluggs
No.
It is based on the Hero Engine, which they used as an asset staging area. They may have added/supplanted something from the Gamebyro engine, but that's not too hard to imagine.
It reminds me of Titanfall 1 & 2, where they took the source engine and rebuilt it, ground up.

Been curious to see more of Elseweyr especially after Morrowind went all in with lore role playing sessions and complicated the Khajiit diversity so much that if the devs ever do a mainline game set in this region it'll probably be after every other region including Argonia and possibly Akavir too (One of the other very fleshed out and incredibly complex not-Tamriel regions.) have been covered. 😛
[Dusk to dawn video and that one scene goes here]
Yeah I do wonder how they'll solve that other than just having the other Khajiit variants simply not being there or only partially present which might be easiest. 😀
Stopped playing partway into Clockwork City though as it took up most of the time and I felt alright having finished the main game and most of the other areas (Aside from the Imperial City of network connectivity issues.) although the other zones, dungeons and updates have probably greatly expanded on the amount of content available now and the game is still going strong.
BLEH!
You need the ultimate Skyrim for this?

@Loobyluggs those game engines aren't free for commercial games, they take a cut of your revenue. UE4 for example is 5 percent (which is only waved if you're exclusive to the epic store).
