Truly insane size. I am getting fed up with air and good chance my next build will have me trying liquid cooling.

At that pricepoint you may aswell.

Christ that might break the motherboards in half. There´s only so much you can do with aircooling, just buy water if you´re serious about overclocking. :/

The weight of the cooler is an bit beyond an motherboards specifications.

Price isnt so bad, Its more about it covering up DIMM slots :bang:

DeepCool Assasin
Sounds like it was named by a 13-year-old.

It looks like low-profile DIMM's might work. But I'm more afraid it might break the motherboard in half. :frown:

Yeah they would but I can never find any with good speeds that I like.

Corsair make some real nice LP Vegence sticks and Mushkins blackline or redlines are good aswell 1.4Kg is alot to be swinging off of you mobo though, if and when I upgrade my cooling from my Thermolab Baram (2010) it'll be with water not another air unit

Yeah same, If i move back to intel if the price is right (which is why I changed when the phenom 2s came out) i might just stick with air and not overclock 🙁 but if amds new stuff that comes out next year is actually good (good price aswell) I will definitely switch to liquid.

Custom Loop > High End Air > AIO Water I'd like to see a review on this, not sure why people seem to think it'll damage the motherboard. Huge coolers like this have existed for a very long time, as long as they're mounted properly they're absolutely fine.

is there any reason to pick this up over a Watercooling unit like Corsair h100i or something like that ? price points are near each other

aside from water cooling units have more parts that could fail or leak in time thats about it. i wonder what size board is used in the pic.....if thats a micro size board the size of the cooler might appear bigger than it really is.....but i agree it comes a point there making these air coolers to massive some times i also wonder how well it does with just the one fan.....if it could perform well with just one fan then it might not be as much issue blocking the ram slotts and to me would look much better as well:)

Wow, I must say that cooler looks excellent and I'm considering to buy it once released. It should bring temperatures down by 5 degrees or more should it perform as good as it looks. I hope Hilbert can test this cooler. Wonder if it can beat the Noctua NH-D14? 🙂 It's fucckin expensive and will cost around £100 but if it happens to break records then I'm lining up to get this monster of a cooler.
