Strange manufacturers will known about power imc chips for years, since ddr5 has been in development for years, that they didn't order more power imc capacity then. More expensive modules will be the result of this and will mean prices will stay high for long time especially over ddr4.
The way I see it, it's the same old thing over again.
Early adopters will pay a higher price, but nowadays at that price one has to add the chip shortage, thus an overinflated price still.
