I love my old and reliable 31 years old Opel, it gives me an engine, steering wheel, tires, an amazing analog clock to check the hours, cheap to repair because I find a lots of parts everywhere, and must important, everyday gets me from point A to B. Cars are cars, not Playstations. Sorry but I dont understand this newer trends with cars.

Next they will add VR.

What this is, is a carrot and the stick moment. Since self-driving is not taking off exactly as much as they want here is some "encouragement" to use that system. That's my 2 cents anyway.

This would be more stupid if this was a feature to pay extra for or something that only next-gen models could get. But Tesla already has a bunch of unnecessary (and distracting) novelties and the system is capable of gaming. So, I don't see why they shouldn't add this if it takes minimal effort.

Anywhere where cellphones without handsfree still are allowed? Can't see how local law enforcements will accept this idea at all.

And it's contributing nicely to the CO2 emissions ^^

IIRC, you can't use the extra-distracting features unless the car is parked. If you're wondering "then why have the feature?", well, gotta pass the time somehow when you're charging lol.

I think it is still better then Tesla considering how much energy is made by "ideal green" sources and non-electric vehicles do not require replacement of (whole) batteries (especially when it comes to Tesla) every ~10 years... I would like to see some math when everything is taken into account, but I honestly do not think that electric cars in the current energy/anti-repair state are the correct way for lowering CO2 emissions.

Isnt whole tesla silicon ARM based? It would make Valve x86 library complicated to run.. well there is Windows 11 ARM x86 translation.. but it is running on Linux, there is afaik similar thing same as with Android. Update: Ok its not just AMD GPU, but whole APU 45W chip and its not market yet.. I dont see problem with install SteamOS on for gaming, or enable Proton within own Tesla distro. Im not expert on law, but i heard that people like Joe Rogan, are reading etc.. why car is riding somewhere itself.. to he already dont care about car driving, gaming would be the same. Just be able to do other thing during travelling is main feature of automatic driving.. Maybe beside that someone could travel somewhere even if he able to drive.. driving without driving license could be nice too.

Of corse is contributing to the CO2, I need it to go to work, because now I live on a small city and I dont have public transports. But in the past I lived on one the biggest cities in Portugal and I always used public tranports or went on foot to work everyday, so my car was always parked in the garage, sometimes weeks. Even today I always go on foot to groceries, I never use the car for that activities, my legs are fully functional. And I know people that bought electric cars and after 6/7 years are changing to a new car because of expensive is to change the batteries, and is more cost efective changing entire car...

So is you breathing. Considering everything I know and have read (look out here comes some opinion) Electric cars are just another way to make cash. They don't save the environment at all, in fact they are probably worse than fossil fuels considering battery production (rare Earth minerals) and the fact that much of the energy used for electric cars comes from fossil fuels. Not to mention the car itself is full of things made from petroleum like any car is. At the end of the day, global temps going up a degree in 100 years won't matter in the least (even if we have some control over that) after we all died from starvation because we caused a mass kill in the oceans with all the plastic pollution. THAT'S the real issue at hand threatening people. But since no one monetized that you don't hear about it.

No. Tesla made a deal a while ago to use AMDs SoCs to power it's infotainment system. So it's using X86. The chip for AI, is custom made by Tesla.

At some point, it won't be economically viable to keep mining lithium or cobalt, but recycling existing batteries will. The mining and refining is where most of the environmental damage comes from. In the long term, electric is more environmentally friendly. Also, new battery technologies are being released, reducing or even eliminating the need of either lithium or cobalt. Some new lithium-based battery tech has a longer shelf life too, which should make a dramatic impact.
At the end of the day, global temps going up a degree in 100 years won't matter in the least (even if we have some control over that) after we all died from starvation because we caused a mass kill in the oceans with all the plastic pollution. Everyone knows about ocean pollution, the problem is the countries contributing most to it don't care that they are. The oceans are a big (arguably, bigger) threat than CO2 emissions but at least there is something being done about that. Perhaps not enough, but the oceans are also vast enough that even the great Pacific garbage patch isn't yet a substantial threat. In fact, life has even been living on that.

So is every cow fart!, But hey!, I'm doing my part by eating all the cows I can. I enjoy eating dead chickens too...

As much as I despise Tesla and their subsidized EVs that's the 3rd piece of good news I've read about Steam today.
data/avatar/default/avatar15.webp
they already have micro-transactions and malware inside why not games
