This is good for AMD. At the end, this is not Windows and DirectX games, is a completely different usage.

I thought they were using Nvidia's stuff right now?

AMD hardware probably costs only half of what Nvidia would be expecting from Tesla for similar purposes.

They snatched-up another client? Nice for them! As long as Intel did not get it I am happy lol. They also got alot of contracts over in China so Amd is on the rebound big-time!!! Intel start worrying hehe.

“I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence. If I had to guess at what our biggest existential threat is, it’s probably that. This should work out pretty damn well since Keller has the inside scoop on what AMD needs to tweak to make a custom chip for AI.

Fun Fact, They already use AMD chips in their infotainment center and gauge cluster.

I don't think they do.

Well that's a interesting twist on the whole "No driver." joke that popped up a few years ago, though I guess a fully driver-less car is still a ways off since manual intervention might be required for certain situations.

Hm, yeah I guess I never read the update where Elon misspoke - I initially figured they just wanted extra inference performance in the car but I guess the entire system runs off PX2.
