Only if they could deliver sooner than 3 years later internationally...

By "cost efficiencies" I guess they mean all the government funding they've been munching.

I like the price. Hopefully battery price will keep declining, so electric cars would be more affordable and cause less carbon footprint.

What does this have to do with Guru3D though? I don't see any news articles about new car models from Nissan, Toyota, VW, Opel etc. Why does Tesla get preferential treatment?

Probably because they're a e-car only manufacturer. With a cool name and a whacky CEO

And also because they are the best electric car for now whenever other company like those upper (you can add Renault, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Daihatsu, Citroen, Peugeot...) do their best. By the way Audi e-tron: [youtube=n5RriNqxfKs]

It's runs on electricity(uses Water cooling), has big LCD monitor and you can play games on it and enjoy high quality built-in multimedia system. 😉

Not to worry, there's still a few around here who appreciate modern GT racing and American muscle, but it's probably because they're at the forefront of electric cars made for consumers.

It's pretty much a driving computer, offers Atari games emulated on that big LCD screen, early models are based on NVIDIA SOCs and it has advanced liquid cooling. Come on, it's pretty much a driving star-trek super-computer, how's that not relevant or even slightly ticklish for that e-peen of yours? Well, that and a slow news day 😉

Cool for those interested on a Model 3. Personally i´m not a fan of Tesla cars but if i was i would rather buy an used Model S than a new model 3.

I think that´s a bit exaggerated Hilbert. A Tesla is basically a car with the big differences being having an electric powertrain and having more tech than "normal" cards but still far from being a driving computer. But i can understand the appeal of Tesla for the tech "geeks". I´ll stick to ICE cars for as long as possible. Specially one with a NA engine, manual transmission and rear traction. Just need the money for it...

Shifting all sales online. So you basically buy a car online and it gets shipped to you. I'm not sure how I feel about it.... I mean it's a car.... you need to see and feel it before you buy...

They advertise it as having a range of 240 miles. Now, in Canada, in the depths of Winter with the seat heaters and cabin heater going full blast it's probably closer to 150 miles.

Just curious about how many times a week do you actually drive more than 150 miles? is it that fequent?

What "government funding' ? You mean like Airbus? Oh You mean the tax credit my ignorant friend? The same credit is available to all electric car buyers, not just Tesla. And that money goes to the cars owner not Tesla. They get NO government funding.

I also don´t like the idea of buying something as expensive as car online but that seems the way car makers are moving towards sales. I can´t imagine myself doing such a thing because just choosing the color of cars in online configurators can be very deceptive...

Prediction: in 10 years, Tesla will only be known as a meme.

I'm sure once they cover the expenses of their "Gigafactory", prices will drop. I'm sure that building was crazy expensive to make, but, powering all of the manufacturing robots and charging up the batteries there all through solar power will likely pay for itself in a matter of years. If they had to outsource their electricity, I'm sure their electric bill would be absurdly high, and they'd likely have all of the EV-haters come out and say how hypocritical they are for depending on fossil fuels.

I was thinking the exact same thing. But from what I heard, the only common complaint people have about them are build quality issues. Nobody seems to complain about how they perform, handle, or feel (probably because the novelty of silent and instant torque is too distracting).
