Just last week there was a fire very close to TSMC's 5nm fab. Imagine some disaster or earthquake leveling that!

No matter what happens they increase their prices anyways. I'm not saying an earthquake is 'nothing' but last week there was a fire near to TSMC 5nm fab an even that caused price hike according to the article. Can you imagine when real sh*t hits the fan what the prices will be like?:D

And if earthquake didn't happen, we will suddenly loose electricity power 🙄

I'd be more worried about China's military moving into Taiwan at this stage.

Any excuse is good enough to raise prices. I'm starting to get the feeling the industry is now just straight up looking for the ceiling and is continually surprised there doesn't seem to be one.

It's just one thing after the other. Every excuse to make the prices rise and rise again.

Well the Taiwanese have stacked enough weapons in case that happens. The Island of taiwan is not easy to conquer by land, it is mostly moutainous, Only a few ports are accessible and allow for troops to be disposed in case of an invasion. Plus China will lose billions of dollars due to economic sanctions, lose thousands of soliders trying to invade the island, You have to take into account too, that the invasion of Taiwan might trigger a large scale reaction from nearby asian countries. Invading Taiwan right now is the perfect opportunity for the CCP to be weakened, and allow current China to break apart as a reaction to them losing power.

A fly landed in my soup.... prices higher? The dog ate my homework... prices higher? Mars is in a strange elliptical orbit.... prices higher? Honestly the entire industry is just pulling a fast one at this stage and making up excuses to increase profits.

The bubble bursted open a long time ago. We will never have the same prices again, at least in the foreseeable future. Who really knows what will happen. For now, we are better finding another hobbies, less expensive and at the whim of big tech giants. Who I am kidding, everything seems to increase in price lately.
