based https://www.computerbase.de/2021-01/synology-hat5300-hdd-test/ toshiba making those hdd so far never have issue with toshiba hdd (such catastrophic-failure), some old hdd show wearing by developing bad sector after like 6years, but it to be expected / similar to other brand usually their hdd price also lower compared to wd and seagate, so good alternative when bulk purchase
