While 3DWPD is nice, it doesn't mean anything without the guaranteed lifetime of the drive. I mean it's impressive for such large drives that you can fully write them 3 times a day (or for the big one 46.08 TB per day), but without the knowing the lifetime of the drive you still don't know how much write endurance the drive has. I assume at the price point of these drives that the guaranteed lifetime is probably 5 years, but that is an assumption. That would mean 84 PB of writes, but if it is only 3 years it goes down to 50.46 PB, which is quite significantly lower. --- edit --- Found the spec sheet for the drive and it states "1 to 3 (configurable) for 5 years" for DWPD, which seems a bit odd as that would mean between 28 and 84 PB of writes. And how is this configurable?
