Shadow of Mordor and Alien:Isolation among the top three, not that surprising. Though I'm pleasently surprised the indie (is it?) Life is Feudal among the top ten. And, Civilization: Beyond Earth... why this pre-ordering sells so well is beyond me...

Iam surprised to see the rehashed reskinned version of borderlands 2 in there, let alone at 2nd place...But Iam not surprised with aliens isolation one bit, that game is brilliant, but I don't think shadow of mordor deserves the top spot...but then again maybe it does, it's just one of those games for the masses, like any batman or assassins creed game.

I agree and I am also happy with Life is Feudal, I didn't play it myself yet, but I heard a good things about it from my mates.

Reskinned? I do not think so, we can say many good and bad things about borderlands but we can't say they just reskin the game and re-release it like it was done with for example metro last light redux or even better example: sleeping dogs definitive edition. But one point is valid, the same as you i wonder why the hell people pre-order this game at all, everyone perfectly knows the game will get tons of dlcs. People who pre-order this game are brainless. I had an opportunity to get steam key for free and i refused to take it because it is pointless, i would spend on dlcs much more money than for any AAA game on release day. I'm awaiting for goty edition.

C'mon dude, the pre sequel is just another cashgrab from gearbox, little to no inovation, same old boring cheesy storyline, uninteresting griding gunplay and gameplay, just buy borderlands 2 goty for 9.99 and you'll have more fun playing that than this turd. But one thing we can agree on is the preorder obsession, I never ever in my entire life did that, what do you get for paying money in front of the release? nothing ! You even put yourself in more risk than usual when the game turns out to be horrible, just like it was with watch dogs for example. Oh and if you're inderested go and have a read the forum thread about season passes and preorder here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=393484

I already can see a lot of differences between borderlands 2 and borderlands the pre-sequel and calling it reskin is very much unfair. Do you call borderlands 2 reskin of borderlands 1? I do not have to buy goty edition, i already own goty editions of borderlands 1 and 2 and i played them both, awesome games. About season pass... season pass for borderlands 2 was a huge lie. The point of season passes in other games is to make customer pay once to get access to all dlcs for the game, season pass for borderlands 2 gave access only to 4 dlcs out of... many dlcs.

Now hold your horses, Borderlands 1 and 2 are not that different, they were realeased quite far apart from each other. But I would say they are marginally very similar games. Hmm I bought borderlands 2 goty for 5 euro or something in a sale and I wanted to gave it a sping, but the horrible optimization with the combination of mighty awful cell shading cartoonish looking graphics and repetetive gameplay, I was disappointed I wasted 5 euro on that. Well gearbox is known for being a greedy and they made fools out of you lot who bought that season pass, thats for sure.

Why don't you think so? Metro redux was a AI, texture, effects enhance at all fronts, and devs are clear about it. Sleeping Dogs is a shameful display, there is nothing to say about this, so don't write Metro Redux and Sleeping Dogs in one like, ok. I agree with DLC crap however.

Can you tell me your top 3 differences?

Borderlands 1 and 2 are not that much different, personally i call borderlands 2 improved borderlands 1. Top 3 differences? New, other classes than in previous 2 games, changed gravity, new elemental effects, few combat-related mechanics are heavily changed. I can say there is more differences between borderlands the pre-sequel and borderlands 2 than between borderlands 1 and borderlands 2.

I heard they are going to be making a documentary, PixelShaderLands - how to make a franchise out of a pixel shading technique.

And a different plot.

I have 39 hours on borderlands 1 and 84 hours on borderlands 2 and my conclusion is that the two games are all wallpaper and no substance. Wouldn´t call them bad games but everything about it is painfully mediocre and boring. Kinda like a Michael Bay movie.

I feel sorry for whoever made the mistake of preordering it.

How do you know this, you yourself have said you don't like BL2 mostly for stupid and confusing reasons. This game isn't aimed at tricking new folk in to paying full price for a game that is the same as BL2, it's designed for folk like me who have logged over 300hours on BL2, who have played through multiple times with multiple characters and are looking for more of the same with a twist and until we get solid info on DLC plans, game content and game length who's to say weather it's a cash grab game that should have been nothing more than a BL2 DLC or if it stands alone as something that was worth the cash.

I did...and Iam ashamed of it, I will never preorder another ubisoft game ever again, I will buy them when they are in the sale bin going for no more than 5 euro each....

I was just expressing my opinion on the matter, there is no need to be getting your knickers in a twist over it m8.

You're not doing a very good job of it, considering you both read a discussion about the series and then posted about it.

IGN Scored Alien Isolation 5.9 out of 10... the reason for the low score being only that the Alien was "unpredictable". lol.. Stay classy IGN
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/52/52796.jpg
IGN are bottom of the ladder when it comes to credibility in games journalism (more like blogging), the worst of a bad bunch in my opinion. It's become pretty clear that their scores have little to do with the reviews and are neither subjective or without heavy bias. Take for example the guy who reviewed Alien: Isolation for IGN, he stated the game was a massive step up above Colonial Marines, yet the score was barely any higher.

Is there even one site, blog, or magazin for that matter that's "objective", even in the widest sense of the word? I seem to have a hard time to find any such source of information regarding games.
