Is there even one site, blog, or magazin for that matter that's "objective", even in the widest sense of the word? I seem to have a hard time to find any such source of information regarding games.

I would argue that there isn't for games, your best bet is to find someone with similar tastes to your own and watch gameplay videos or read articles by that person. Most forms of media have issues with journalism, but there's generally a mixture of good and bad. I'm of the opinion that there is no good when it comes to games 'bloggers' (I wont call them journalists again). While a lot of people have issues with TotalBiscuit, at least he shows exact examples of what he's talking about, and doesn't profess to be reviewing (rather previewing) any of the titles he talks about. I also quite find myself agreeing with a lot of what Boogie2988 has to say. Although as I said, these people aren't actually reviewing content. Mostly however I chat with friends and keep track of the forums to help form an opinion.
