I understand the reason behind showing Steam most selling games but wish people would use GOG more often. Not near the same amount of games but the quality is there and the benefits are quite obvious. I loved Cuphead but for me the hidden gem were Hollow Knight and Dead Cells. Absolutely brilliant!

The vast majority of my games are off of Steam, yet sometimes I wish I had the Steam versions so I wouldn't have to worry about having to manually patch games and more importantly, maintain my saves. I have the GOG version of The Witcher 3 and I could have sworn I've patched that thing at least 6 times manually. That's why Steam is the only DRM I can actually tolerate, it's the devil I know and it comes with a bit of convenience. Too bad offline play still sometimes screws up and attempts to cock block me.

Not only that GOG just got lego StarWars the complete Saga among other Starwars Related games. I own over 130 games on Steam and over 200 on GOG so I some times double dip with some games and if Games that I want to play are only on Steam then I have to go there.

There's always Galaxy if you want things auto-patched.

Yea, it's always a good idea to have GOG installed - and run it once in a while to check for patches and what not. Otherwise, I don't run GOG.
