I'll consider playing this in 5-8 years when it's been fixed to an acceptable state with mods.

There are plenty of other reasons why I won't be playing it even after 5-8 years of bug squishing. What a disaster of a game.

I'd rather go back to Star Citizen than play this.

Starfield beta update... So the game is still in beta 🙂 it explain a lot of things lol

legacy end mission still bugged and not fixed. nice they care more about stupid things instead of fixing the end of one of the very few decent storyline quests they have

Fixed issues that resulted in some NPCs not being clothed. Why fix a feature? 🙂

For those that don't know how to receive beta updates, First, locate Starfield in your Steam library. Right-click on Starfield and click on Properties at the end of the drop down-menu. In the Properties window that pops up, choose Betas on the left-hand side. You'll see a drop down menu on the right - click this and select [beta].

Same. Maybe 4-5 years from now, with mods, and a 70% discount.

even then i would not play it, I still wont play fallout4 and i have it, its ruined simply by being shooter. The Mods will either make or break the game. I dont see it turn out like skyrim did though

Many PS fans here... Starfield is a masterpiece, like Morrowind or Oblivion.

If you cannot enjoy Starfield, you deserve pity and piety. You can continue with your insults toward me.
You still don't understand that you are on a PC centric forum. Nobody cares about your console wars.

If it was masterpiece, it would not have the lowest Steam rating of all Beth games, just saying. I share the sentiment raised here, that the game is trully undercooked and maybe in X years, it will be better. I remember someone from Beth saying, that the game was not fun 1 year prior to the release. And I think it stayed that way. What a bland casual loading fest. It stole 25 hours of my life, and than I deleted the game in the middle. That NEVER happened to me ever, prior to SF. Anyway.. 2nd thing which is ridiculous is, the "pace" at which this multimilion 1000s of employees company produces updates/patches. Its like 2 months and they did basically nothing. Meanwhile, games like Baldurs Gate 3, which were much better at release, pumped literally 1000s of fixes and improvements. Beth still stuck at adding "R" to eat. INCREDIBLE :/ EDIT: Also, they managed to improve performance mainly for the "high end" & "high performance" systems, which already run the game with no problem - wow, that was incredibly needed. Ive never seen such approach towards "optimization" and hopefully never will again. [PC Only] Several performance optimizations have been incorporated for graphics cards that will be especially noticeable on high-end cards. [PC Only] The rendering threading model has been improved, resulting in more efficient use of the processor on high-performance systems.

Maybe you must see my little laptop... Starfield is an PC and Xbox game. The only console war fans are you with "Starfield is crap" when this assesment is false and I can dissprove it with only a few dollars at month or the Steam reviews (quit reviews with "not DLSS", "my 4090 on 3960x not 200 fps" and "it's bad because potato").

Starfield is a masterpiece, the cry and tears from PC peasants or PS users with potato-pc are irrelevant. A good pc is cheap, with only $2000 you can buy a pc with 4080 and 13900k or 14900k. About optimisation: when a game with thousands of NPCs could run better than Starfield, you will can complain. Bye.

Starfield is one of the best games I've played in 40 years. I've been playing for over 200 hours and I haven't completed half of the main quests yet. I love Bethesda games in general. From the first 3D RPG Arena, through Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, to Fallouts. When it comes to simulating the real world in a game, Bethesda is unrivaled. The fact that in Bethesda games, you sometimes see the consequences of your small actions only after several dozen hours of playing, makes them fascinating. It's a pity that the herd instinct makes it so easy to manipulate public opinion when it comes to assessing various works of art. (Just remember what happened after the release of NMS). Of course, I realize that people who like fighting games may be disappointed with this game, but for me, the possibility that most of the quests in Starfield can be solved without the use of force, makes this game one of the few true RPG games ever made for computers.

Sure buddy, thats why it has the lowest Steam score of all bethesda games, lower than Fallout 76 And Im not complaining about the performance, I can get over (non)optimization - Im talking about the GAME. Oh and can u tell me, where the game runs 1000s of NPC inside a single area? If it has 50 NPCs inside one loading area, Im too generous. And thats all which is actively processed at that moment. Fact is, in one base, it had like 20 npcs inside, not counting enemies - and the game copy pasted like 6 females out of these 20 mere NPCs, all the females looked exactly the same. Very master pieceful 😀

Liked almost every Bethesda game. Starfield is so poorly done and boring, that it is hard to believe, Beth done this shit show.
