It's apparently going to be pushed to live server today.

Does anybody know if the game still runs bad? Don't want to waste time downloading if low 30fps is all it does lol
Don't except high performance yet. Netcode is still bottleneck.

Il is still quite bad. I have a core i7 8700k with gtx 1080ti and 32 gig of ram ... running at 30-40 fps. A real mess.

That Squadron 42 footage was awesome. It's basically my dream come true. Their tech is groundbreaking.

Year 2037: Star Citizen 22 pre-Beta is out!

I have been saying, for years now, that this is nothing more than a well hidden Ponzi scheme. Bernie is saying DAYAMNNNN from his jail cell. Yet to prove me wrong. This feeble attempt to bamboozle you into thinking they are one step closer to "getting there" is worse than ever. Lag, random stoppages, freezing, walking through ships walls, etc, etc, etc, etc. Don't bother it's a mess and that is being kind. If this was a money fund the Feds would have indicted Chris Roberts and his cronies long ago. ANY money invested in this farce is money wasted. HO HO HO Chris Roberts needs to go!

How can this be Ponzi scheme and PUBG isn't? PUBG raised far more money, yet what's done can easily be made for just 1 mln.

Roadmap is pretty much known 3.0 = planetary tech, a lot of gameplay features and many new ships, that are fully interactive, unlike Elite or Eve. https://starcitizen.tools/Star_Citizen_Alpha_3.0.0 3.1 = procedural cities and ArcCorp planet, further gameplay feature merge and many new ships. https://starcitizen.tools/Star_Citizen_Alpha_3.1.0 3.1 was already previewed. [youtube=b9RUWxsVmws] 3.2 = Hurston and Crusader planets, further gameplay feature merge and some more ship variations https://starcitizen.tools/Star_Citizen_Alpha_3.2.0 3.3 = Microtech planet, further gameplay feature merge and a bunch of very large ships https://starcitizen.tools/Star_Citizen_Alpha_3.3.0 By 4.0 most features would be in game. With 4.0 they add warmholls and start adding more planetary systems. By release there would be 5 to 10 of them. https://starcitizen.tools/Star_Citizen_Alpha_4.0.0

Sure but... ...just a little "detail": Is there any kind of reliable ETA known? Thanks. πŸ™‚

on when it done? i doubt there ever will be one i was intrested in this when it was first announced simple cause space battles now i no longer have isntrest

There is never could be ETA on software development. But I wouldn't expect 3.3 earlier of next CitizenCon, 4.0 earlier of mid 2019 and release earlier of 2022. But again, this game is completely different from what was under development in 2012. Back then it was an analog of Elite. By now it's far more feature-rich than long time released empty Elite that is still being improved with paid DLCs.

sure, but its not like you would be interested in it since you just want to troll i guess... anyway: agile software development from now on, which means fixed releases every 3 months. what ever is feature complete by then will be in the release, whatever isn't will be pushed to the next one. and now you are free to troll on ...

I asked for an ETA on release and that's your better answer?Trolling?LOL Your guess is wrong but anyway: i'm genuinely interested in knowing if there is any kind of reliable ETA for Star Citizen release (1.0). I would like to see this project released and successfull because it could push PC gaming to a new graphic era (like Crysis did years ago) and unchain it (for a while...) from the current console limitations in video gaming. Sadly as i see it from the fence this project is not yet feature complete and it's "reshuffling" his goals every few months adding a ton of new elements along graphic engine switches. The question was simple and the answer is even easier: there is no possible release ETA in a project without closed goals. But if it feels you better to guess (or to think) that i'm a troll, good for you. πŸ™‚ There is one thing worst than fanboyism: self imposed blindness.

I am certainly no fan of the techniques and practices that have been employed by CIG, quietly changing their refund, returns and release dates policy, being as cagey and tight fisted as possible when it comes to doing refunds for customers and their whole overpriced artificial scarcity on certain ships and content all reek of money grubbing at any price, as does selling plots of land in a game that is no where near release but I wouldn't call it a ponzi scheme or a con. It's the work of someone who wants to give the best outcome and result to their project but is incapable of managing and goal setting, a project that is to desperate to appeal and listen to everyone and is willing to risk the completition of the core project to incorporate the minor but highly time consuming features (face mapping tech is a great example.) The project needs someone who can actually project manage to step in look at what is realistically achievable, what realistically needs to be achieved, what cash they have and then set a series of serious realistic goals.

"Realistically achievable" is what Freelancer was. Hope it's won't happen again.

Tried to launch it. May be it was a bit early to move to PU. 100% CPU usage (2500K @4.4GHz), 91% of RAM usage (16 GB), swaps all around, running from SSD. I don't even remember when last time i've seen swapping game. And i was just walking around top floor in Port Olisar. After few minutes i got stuck in some animation.
