If 4070 Ti only has a bus width of 192, the rumour about 4060 Ti having pitiful 128 bits sounds a lot more credible. I didn't think of this before, not wanting to believe it.

It will be hilarious if they surprise everyone with a 4090ti and a 4080ti so soon and lower the prices of the previous ones due to low sales and need to push out stock.

If only card was priced not more than 699$ but if price is really unchanged from 899$ no one should buy one. Let it stay on the shelf with 4080.

If they lower prices substantially (not just 50$ which doesn't make a real world difference), they'll probably kill AMD's graphic department, think about it.

These card model releases seem so odd, the 4090 then 4080 followed possibly by Ti versions of mid range cards.

Well the Ti part for this one wasn't really planned. They just renamed their regular 4070 to a 4080 variant just to be able to slap a massive price hike to it. When people got furious they decided to backpedal the least they could do so. Which was slapping this time a Ti next to it to again allow them a decent price hike.

They didn't need to use the TI moniker though, just call it a 4070 and the 4060Ti called a 4060, then once the process has matured just add some extra or faster VRam, call it a TI and bump up the price. 4060Ti - 4070Ti - 4080 - 4090 should have been labelled 4050 - 4060 - 4070 - 4080 Then just add a Ti or 9 moniker and a price bump with some minor performance hike when AMD add their refresh

At this rate, not anymore. Now that AMD is doing MCM, they're getting a higher profit margin and probably spend a lot less money on R&D (or I should hope so considering their driver performance) so it's not really possible for Nvidia to undercut AMD. Anyway, it doesn't seem to matter what the MSRP is these days because nobody is selling GPUs at such prices.

They can simply lower the prices of current parts, no need to release even more parts. But i believe Nvidia is already stocking chips for the 5000 series and keeping the prices of the 4000 artificially high to clear the stock of the 3000 series.
Undying:

Even 699$ is too much, that price should be for the 80 parts...

The model names have lost all meaning, so no point of trying to make any sense of them anymore...

I sincerely believe that Nvidia can undercut AMD, for several reasons, but they have no need for it. They prefer to charge more and be seen as the premium option.

Commenting on price of current GPUs, I'll say what I've been saying: anyone spending more on a GPU than the cost of a console with the intent of gaming, is a mad lad. PS: 4080 should be 599 worst case.

They can absolutely undercut AMD's prices today, but there is a limit to how much either brand can lower, and AMD can definitely go lower if they need to.

PS : All GPUs should be double the price, to keep the riff-raff away from proper gaming. Poor people need to know their place, and that place is with the bottom feeder console owners.

MLID said it was confirmed to him that what you just listed was the original naming. The last time I mentioned this everyone called BS because the info came from MLID, so take from it what you will.

for me none of 40series is a mid range card if i compare performance increase vs 30 series cards. I still just feel like an idiot for paying 1800eur for 3080ti even iβ€˜m happy with my evga 3080ti ftw3 but still… too bad i wasnt smart enough to pass 30series and wait for the next gen.
