Your title makes no sense. "The Core i9-13900K is likely to be released next month, Intel is developing the Core i9-13900KS to compete with the finest binned CPUs on the market." Uhhh what?

So? From 5.8 to 6.0 means just about 3% faster.

Not sure how any expectation of a "significant" gain have come to be. It has a slightly boosted clockspeed, thats not going to give you much. If anything, those scores seem to be what you would expect, and shows that its just what they said it is, a slightly higher binned version with a clock speed boost.

Please don't talk about my Athlon X2 that way!!!

Marginally faster clockspeeds results in marginally faster score ??? That was the plot twist of the year !!!

Great. But honestly 13400-13700 are much more interesting to me.

Reality|Bites:

I never owned one of those lol I went from an Abit NF7-S with a Mobile 2500+ which was great fun to tinker with, to an Athlon 64 whatever that couldn't overclock for sheeeeet, to the cheap end of line A64 4000+ that overclocked to 3Ghz. Then the fun came back with the Core 2 Duo era starting with the C2D 6600 then the 8400 then out of boredom bought the 8600 lol. Went from that to my current 7700k.
and what about the opterons 1xx on the sk939 boards? but the best remain the first athlon skA series, the ones at ab. 1GHz, with the clock mult. unlockable with just a pencil... btw, the real news on that image are the performance of the "Non-K" 13900, too goood actually in mt o_O
