Too pricey, sure after few month of launching it, the price will fall to increase demand.

I pay half of that for 3 months to get access to a Pay Server and download whatever i want ^^

so for 4K we have (on legal solution of course): *30$ for a movie from Sony *15Euro unlimited content by month Netflix *9Euro for any movie by month from internet provider Is the Sony's staff have ever use internet? Do they have thrown them to hungry flying shark after this announcement? it make me laugh 🙂

Netflix rules. Pretty sure I could get by on FHD movies in foreseeable future without breaking a sweat

The physical copies cost less here in Finland where the taxes are 24% for these. Nice one Sony nice one lol... And never mind Netflix being cheap compared and well there are other options also for less. So what gives?

Just a money grab for people desperate for 4K content. The price will fall with increased adoption as it always does.

Keep in mind this is buying the movie, so you can watch it as many times as you want. Still a stupid price though, especially considering the limitations (and the fact you're not getting a physical copy). I figure network bandwidth could be an issue for a lot of people.

I now know why people pirate movies.

BR movies and players were quite high price wise if i remember correctly when they first launched, so no doubt these will drop in price over time. Hell i still have only one BR player in the house, the PS3 slim i bought in 2010, still works like a trooper.

I wonder what kind of decisions in life left someone that desperate for 4k content that they are willing to pay $30 a pop. Crack cocaine has better ROI.

LOL< what a joke. Sony is one of the worst and openly greedy companies around to date. i'm all for a company to make money, but they're trying to scalp people. I really hope the masses vote with their wallet and not purchase a thing from this **** company. This does nothing but encourage yet again, torrenting. I'd love to see how they add in HDR and 4K resolutions to movies that were never shot from the start with 4K-5K cameras. if they were analog maybe but they still will come up a bit short compared to movies actually shot with modern cameras.

30$, so about 5 pound in real money then. Not that bad really since like steam you then own the movie at least. It's not that much really for 4k content at release and like others have said the price will probably drop and there will be sales and stuff.

Just normal Sony stuff as usual. They're delusional and completely out of touch with reality as always.

If you want the real number, $30 is about 21 pounds.
