Lucky country, in here 5 only and out of stock since... (same for XBox serie S and X) 1 for local game website, 3 for normal consumer, 1 stolen on the parking of the shop by an angry man that can't have one with gun and never found back.
Same, I'd never get one, but I haven't seen stock anywhere and I would have known since I follow all big parts sites, which happen to sell consoles as well. All you can find is for 4 times the price, at best, from a few scalpers who got them imported somehow.

It's the same with PC hardware components, or everything that's suppose to be available now, isn't. You can still buy a shiney new Smartphone no issues though.

Eventhough I wont buy a console, that is such a fail.
Yeah, XSX supports it, so I had hoped to see it sooner than later.

This is really quite an interesting idea given that Sony made a big deal out the rapid storage solutions of the system and how that equates to fluid open-world increased/massive polygon count. Therefore, it intrigues me how a "random" NVMe SSD would marry up with these expectations/design....surely a minimum requirement must be met, but I don't know that that is.....will be interesting to see if there's any performance downside/benefit from added NVMe storage in terms of the capabilities of the particular NVMe storage device added.

There was with the PS4 when a SSD was added, but that was only because the standard HDD being really rubbish.

Question is are they gona allow PS5 game to be installed on Extended drive? or are we still gona be playing the delete this game from main storage and move game from extended to main to play and vs versa. Which will getting annoying fast considering the size of the Main storage. Still say that 825g that has 675gb usable as main storage that solder to board was bad idea. And next person to say it fine game are not that big I will throw book at... ps3 lauched with 20gb and 60gb if i remember corectly by end of ps3 era we had games pushing 65gb ps4 luached with 500gb where not even done with ps4 era and we got game that 350gb which mostly "cod" at this point 150gb is probably the biggest game i seen that isnt "cod" yes I get ps5 era can do away with duplicated data, but that wont stop game from getting bigger as they have always gotten bigger and have been getting bigger progressively from begining. 6 100gb game and ps5 storage is full, and if you cant play game off the extended NVMe and can only store ps5 game on it the transfer back and forth will get old fast, There is reason why people get bigger drive in first place, so they dont have to play delete this move that game. Dont get wrong i see why the solder it on the board, at time there were not many 4.0 NMVe drive that did that speeds and it required for ps5 game. I think in later revisions when those drive becoming avilable the main drive will be change able or I like to hope. Either way the Extend NVMe has to allow ps5 to be played off

I never heard of that issue where you have to transfer the game from the extended storage each time you play (but I have no practical experience of consoles apart from the original Nintendo back in 1990!). You'd think they would have got rid of that annoyance with a new console launch...I mean it makes sense to get rid of that annoyance, can't see why they would do that.

As it stand right now PS5 game need to be played off internal drive, Only ps4 game can be played on external drives, we didnt get answer if extend NVMe will let use play ps5 game off it. if we can't transfering game from extended NVME to internal drive will be thing and annoying at that due to it size being so limited. Who where remembers when optical CD drive was introduced. it was pushed as the "end" to installs that everything would run off the disc, that never happen cause the speed at which they read and and space restrictions. here we are in 2021 and install are still 100x bigger then back then and now space is still issue alone with cost of these storage solutions o_O I have 2TB drive for my ps4 cause I didnt want to have to keep "downloading" games that 40-150+ gbs cause I ran out space cause that 500gb it came with didnt cut it, and majority of my games library are on physical disc, and some of those installs took 10+minutes to finish, in then end i was sill deleting game to install other games, which why I ended up with 2tb in my ps4. All of PS4 game library( physical) fit on to that 2 TB drive. Digital game wont and never will these isnt a drive big enough I miss the day of Cartridges no need to worry about do I have enough "space"

Sounds interesting, providing we can all actually buy a PS5 by then 😀 😀

Sony is reportedly preparing new firmware that allows owners of the PlayStation 5 to expand the storage of their console with an extra M.2 SSD. The new update would become available upcoming summer.... Sony Preps New Firmware - PlayStation 5 Storage Can Be Upgraded in Summer
Sony has yet to announce the compatible NVMe M.2 drives, however they must be PCIe Gen 4. I would assume the Samsung 980 Pro along with the WD Black SN850 would eventually be certified as compatible. As of this moment only PS4 games can be stored and played from an external SSD, which is how I have my PS5 setup.
