Someone I know has access to a dev kit for the ps5 pro. He was quite impressed by the uplift in performance, but that's about all I know.

All those impressive numbers, only for game devs to continue to release unfinished, unoptimised games that will have drops under 60 fps on the new pro console.
I wonder which game will be the first to be a fps rollercoaster on the pro. lol

False. At 8k: RTX 4090 can run more than 60fps on most games while PS5 Pro will run only 30fps on few games. 😛

Thats a game which ran 30fps now running almost 45fps. And thats about it in terms of games which dont use RT.

Sony will use DL upscaling in the PS5 Pro. Maybe that's why? Who knows.
(Reports so far indicate this is a custom Sony solution, not FSR 3.1.)

I probably won't buy it, regular PS5 suits my needs. I already play GT7 at 4k-60fps.
I wish there were just one console model per generation. Let PC stuff (upgrades, performance focus etc.) in the PC ecosystem.

More power to play visually weak games still backward compatible and catering to the PS4! But in higher resolution! I'm still waiting for my regular ol' PS5 to put out something amazing visually, made strictly for it and not compatible with a console from 11 years ago.

Its struggles in most titles @8k to almost maintain 60fps. It does get above 60 in some older titles.

We need to enable DLSS with FG or non-FG for RTX 4090 but on most games with RT disabled and on few games with RT enabled. This GPU can run (less than) 60fps on between few and many modern games but more than 60fps on all old and all or most non-modern games. 🙂
